New Triathlon Club

Do you like to swim, bike and/or run? Do you like to do all three in one day? How about group rides or runs? Do you miss the days of being part of a team?

If you answered yes to any or all of those questions there is now an outlet for you in the central Arkansas area. A new multisport club has formed and they're looking for members like you.

Never done a triathlon before? Don't worry, a lot of people are trying it for the first time. I gotta warn you though, it's like the Hotel California, once you check in...you can never leave....you'll probably be hooked!

OK this is funny

The golden arches. They used to be a symbol of what was sure to be pure joy and happiness. There weren't too many things better when it came to a possible landing spot for mealtime than the big, golden 'M'. I mean, a Big Mac with fries, or how about a Quarter pounder? Awesome! I also went through a phase of ordering the fish sandwich. Is there actually real fish in that square.....thing? I'm not sure but it was good and I liked it.

Now? I can't remember the last time I ordered a "meal" from mickey-Ds. And I don't foresee a circumstance where I would do so in the immediate or distant future. I'd probably buy a pecan roll from Stuckey's before I'd fork over an Abe Lincoln certificate for one of their burger and fry combos.

Now, I'm not on some mission to boycott the establishment nor do I have this huge agenda either. So, why am I blogging about it? Well, that's where the title of the post comes in.

I was looking for a triathlon logo I might use for an upcoming post so I went to Google images and typed in 'triathlon logos'. Several options popped up including, you guessed it, an image of the arches. The obvious question in my mind was, 'in what possible way is McDonald's related to triathlons'? The answer came back equally as obvious...

...breakfast, lunch and dinner!

Back with a new look

I'm not exactly sure what happened but everything I posted on this blog from my first post back in 2006 to about October of 2010 was completely lost. Gone. I don't know where they went or what happened to them. Depsite a few attempts I could never get in touch with blogger to find out what happened to all the beautiful posts and photos. A shame really.

Fortunately I saved my posts into a personal file so I have those. Most of them were garble-de-gook but there were a few gems that I'm glad to have. I wrote some detailed reports from the two Ironman events that I certainly want to remember. There are a few posts each about my kids and there are a few about some general thoughts of mine.

So, here I am again. Same blog with a new look. More to come!
